# Account settings

> Manage your Sofie profile, work preferences, document branding, email signature, notification settings, and account-level options.

Use **Account Settings** to keep your Sofie profile accurate and control personal preferences. These settings help Sofie understand how you work and how to contact you.

Open the user menu in the sidebar, then choose **Account Settings**.

## Update your profile

Use [Profile and work preferences](/account/profile-and-preferences) for step-by-step guidance on profile fields, avatar upload, task interests, and password fields.

<Tip>
  Use specific role context. `QA reviewer for sterile manufacturing` is more useful than `manager`.
</Tip>

## Manage your email signature

Use [Email signatures](/account/email-signatures) to set up the signature Sofie uses for CoDraft email workflows.

## Manage notification settings

Use [Notification preferences](/account/notification-preferences) to configure delivery channels, quiet hours, timezone, and type-specific routing. Use [Notifications](/notifications/notifications) for the sidebar notification panel.

## Manage personal document branding

Use [Personal document branding](/account/personal-branding) to set the logo and colors Sofie uses for generated documents when your organization allows personal branding.

## Manage security settings

Use the **Security** tab to add, review, or remove passkeys when your organization allows it.

See [Security and passkeys](/account/security-and-passkeys) for details.

## When profile changes affect Sofie

Profile and task preferences can help Sofie understand your role and the kind of work you do. They do not replace prompt context, Workspace sources, Memory, or Directives.

For durable work preferences, use [Memory](/personalize/memory), [Directives](/personalize/directives), and [Saved prompts](/prompts/saved-prompts).

Examples:

```text theme={null}
Remember that I prefer validation protocol drafts to separate acceptance criteria, procedure steps, deviations, and reviewer notes.
```

```text theme={null}
Create a Directive for CAPA work: always separate confirmed facts, assumptions, source gaps, and SME questions.
```
