# Personal document branding

> Set the logo and colors Sofie uses for your generated documents when your organization allows personal branding.

Personal document branding lets you set the logo, primary color, and secondary color Sofie can use in generated documents.

Your organization controls whether this setting is available. When personal branding is enabled, **Account Settings** includes a **Branding** tab.

  Leave a personal branding field blank when you want to inherit from your group or organization.

## What personal branding changes

Personal branding can affect generated documents and templates that include brand styling.

| Field         | Use it for                                                            |
| ------------- | --------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Logo**      | The image Sofie can place in generated document branding areas.       |
| **Primary**   | Main accent color, such as table headers or prominent accents.        |
| **Secondary** | Supporting accent color, such as lighter fills or secondary emphasis. |

Personal branding takes precedence over group and organization branding for fields you set. Blank fields inherit from your group first, then from your organization.

## Set your personal brand

    Use the user menu in the sidebar and choose **Account Settings**.

    Open the **Branding** tab.

  <Step title="Upload a logo">
    Use **Upload** or **Re-upload**. Sofie accepts JPG, GIF, or PNG logos up to the size shown in the app.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Set colors">
    Enter six-digit hex values for **Primary** and **Secondary**, or use the color picker.

  <Step title="Save">
    Click **Save**.

## Inherit group or organization branding

Use inheritance when you only want to personalize part of the brand.

Examples:

| Your setting                        | Result                                                                        |
| ----------------------------------- | ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Personal logo, blank colors.        | Sofie uses your logo and inherits group or organization colors.               |
| Blank logo, personal primary color. | Sofie inherits the logo and uses your primary color.                          |
| Blank logo and blank colors.        | Sofie uses group branding, or organization branding if no group brand is set. |

To clear a value, use **Remove** for the logo or **Clear primary color** and **Clear secondary color** for colors, then save.

## Review generated documents

After changing personal branding:

* Create or regenerate a document that uses brand styling.
* Check the logo placement and size.
* Check contrast for table headings and filled areas.
* Review exported files if the document will be shared outside Sofie.

## If the Branding tab is missing

If you do not see **Branding** in **Account Settings**, your organization has not enabled personal branding for users. Ask an administrator whether personal branding should be available for your account.
