Notification preferences control how Sofie alerts you. Use them to keep important work visible without turning every update into noise. Open the user menu, choose Account Settings, then select Notifications.

Global settings

Global settings apply unless a notification type has its own setting.
Push notifications depend on browser and device support. If your browser blocks push notifications, update browser settings before enabling them in Sofie.

Configure global notifications

1

Open Notifications settings

Go to Account Settings and choose Notifications.
2

Set global channels

Turn Email Notifications and In-App Notifications on or off.
3

Enable push if needed

Turn on Push Notifications if your browser supports them and you want alerts when Sofie is not in focus.
4

Save

Click Save in each section you changed.

Use quiet hours

Quiet hours pause non-urgent notifications during a time window.
1

Enable Quiet Hours

Turn on Enable Quiet Hours.
2

Choose start and end times

Set Start Time and End Time for the quiet period.
3

Choose timezone

Select the timezone that matches your work schedule.
4

Save

Save the quiet-hours section.
Use quiet hours when:
  • You work in a different timezone from your organization.
  • Scheduled Sequences run outside your normal hours.
  • You want email for non-urgent work but push for critical updates.
  • You need a cleaner notification queue during off-hours.

Configure notification types

Use Notification Types to choose a preferred channel for each type. You may see types such as:
  • Chats shared with you.
  • Orchestration completed.
  • Orchestration failed.
  • Orchestration requires review.
  • Sequence completed.
  • Sequence failed.
  • Sequence started.
  • Sequence requires review.
  • Sequence step failed.
  • Sequence schedule disabled.
  • Workspace invitation.
  • New Workspace member.
  • Meeting reminders.
  • Meetings shared with you.
  • System maintenance.
  • System updates.
  • Security alerts.
For each type, choose:
Keep failure and review notifications more visible than completion notifications. A failed Sequence or workflow needing review usually needs faster attention than a successful run.
