Comments versus suggestions

Ask Sofie for the right review style.

Use Suggesting mode

Open the CoDraft

Open the document you want to review.

Switch Review Mode

Choose Suggesting when changes should be proposed instead of applied directly.

Make or request edits

Edit yourself or ask Sofie to propose changes.

Review suggestions

Use Previous Suggestion and Next Suggestion to move through proposed changes.

Accept or reject

Use Accept Current Suggestion, Reject Current Suggestion, Accept All Suggestions, or Reject All Suggestions.
Do not use Accept All Suggestions until you have reviewed the changes against the source material.

Use review display modes

Review display options can include: Use All Markup before export or review handoff.

Review with filters

Use the review pane filters to focus:
  • All for a complete review.
  • Comments for questions and discussion.
  • Changes for suggested edits.
Work through comments before accepting final wording. Comments often identify source gaps that suggestions cannot resolve.

Use Sofie for a review pass

Ask for a structured review before export.
For tracked changes:

Resolve review items

Before export:
  • Switch to All Markup.
  • Review open comments.
  • Review every suggestion.
  • Save a revision.
  • Ask Sofie to list unresolved review items.
  • Confirm the exported version is the intended version.
